What is Oblysis®?

Oblysis® is an integrated technology that combines a physical device and advanced digital control to transform biomass into more efficient, stable, and optimized biological systems.

Its application in existing activated sludge plants enables direct intervention in the biological process, improving overall WWTP performance without the need for major structural work.

Hardware device

The hardware component consists of a floating device installed in the oxidation tank, allowing mixed liquor to flow through it during the process.

This device incorporates a range of functional components that provide the necessary impetus to the biomass, encouraging it to transform into more efficient and resilient forms.

Control Software

The system intelligently manages aeration, mixing and internal recirculation in the biological reactor by controlling blowers, mixers and recirculation pumps.

Its objective is to maintain optimal operating conditions, enabling controlled biomass transformation within the reactor and continuous process improvement.

The combination of specialized hardware and control software can transform existing plants into more efficient biological systems, with more stable, optimized operations focused on measurable results.

How Oblysis® works

Oblysis® combines physical technology and intelligent control to transform the biological performance of existing treatment plants.

The solution combines a floating stainless-steel device installed in the biological reactor with an advanced software platform that adjusts system operation to the plant’s actual conditions.

1

Installation in the biological reactor

The Oblysis® device is installed directly in the heart of the biological process, with no need for structural work or major modifications to the existing facility.

Its integration allows the biomass to be treated within the system itself while maintaining uninterrupted plant operations.

2

Natural biomass transformation

Once operational, Oblysis® promotes the formation of hybrid granular biomass, combining the advantages of granular and flocculent sludge.

This transformation improves biological process performance and delivers a more efficient, stable system that is better equipped to meet more demanding operating requirements.

3

Intelligent process control

The software platform intelligently manages key parameters such as aeration and system operating conditions.

Thanks to adaptive algorithms, the system adjusts to changes in flow, pollutant load and environmental conditions, optimising plant operation in real time.

4

Improved operational performance

The combination of a physical device, hybrid granular biomass and advanced control improves settleability, increases treatment capacity and optimises nutrient removal.

The result is a more efficient WWTP, with greater operational stability and improved performance, without the need for major structural work.

5

Monitoring and continuous improvement

Oblysis® is not a standalone solution, but a system designed for continuous process monitoring.

Daily operations, monitoring, and parameter adjustments help maintain performance over time and adapt operations to the actual needs of each facility.
